Security Heightened After Threatening Emails Received
On Thursday, several courts in Mumbai and Nagpur received threatening emails, prompting authorities to enhance security measures significantly. As a precaution, court proceedings were temporarily suspended. The Bombay High Court, Bandra Metropolitan Court, Andheri Metropolitan Court, and Fort Court were among the affected locations. Following the receipt of these threats, the Mumbai police initiated an investigation to trace the email sender's identity. Comprehensive searches were conducted across all court premises, but no suspicious items were discovered so far. To ensure safety, court activities were halted until 3 PM. The Bombay High Court premises were evacuated, and bomb detection and disposal teams conducted thorough inspections within the area.
Bomb Threat Email Received by Nagpur District Court
In a separate incident, the Nagpur District and Sessions Court received an email threatening to bomb the court's official email ID on the same day. The email, sent under the name "ISI Madras Tiger," caused panic within the court premises. Court officials promptly alerted the police after receiving the threat. Security was heightened at the Nagpur District and Sessions Court, with police teams arriving alongside bomb disposal units to conduct a search operation. The bomb disposal teams are currently investigating for any suspicious materials. Police officials stated that security agencies are closely monitoring the situation and have taken all necessary measures to address any potential threats. As of now, no explosive materials have been confirmed, but strict security protocols will remain in place until the investigation and searches are completed.
