Security Heightened for West Bengal Governor

West Bengal's Governor, C.V. Ananda Bose, received a death threat via email on Thursday night, prompting an increase in his security measures, as confirmed by a senior official from Lok Bhawan.


The official reported that the sender of the email threatened to 'blow up' the governor. They also mentioned that the individual included their mobile number in the message. 'We have informed the DGP and requested immediate action to apprehend the suspect,' the official stated.


Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also been notified regarding this incident. Additionally, the central Ministry of Home Affairs has been informed about the situation. To ensure the governor's safety, state police and CRPF are collaborating closely.


Governor Bose is already under Z-plus security, and now approximately 60 to 70 central police personnel have been deployed to enhance his protection.
