Grand Finale of The Warriorz League

The Warriorz League, an initiative by UP Warriorz, one of the franchises in the Women's Premier League (WPL), concluded its finale on January 18, 2026, at the YOLO Sports Arena in Harmony Park, Lucknow. This event marked the successful end of a city-wide cricket tournament aimed at promoting women's sports and community involvement.


Champions and Runners-Up Announced

In the College category, the team 'Be Yourself', captained by Aradhya Shukla, claimed the championship title. The runners-up were 'Ayurvedic Hurricane', led by Fiza. In the Corporate category, 'Dominos Warriors', under the leadership of Captain Sumit Yadav, emerged victorious, while 'Master Blaster', captained by Ashish, secured the second place, as reported by UP Warriorz.


Engagement and Participation

The Warriorz League attracted participants from top educational institutions in Lucknow, including Amity University, Jaipuria Institute, GCRG Group of Institutions, IIM Lucknow, Avadh Girls' College, Babu Yugraj Singh College, Yashraj College, Shri Ram Swarup Group, and Eram Girls' Degree College.


Prior to the tournament, UP Warriorz organized 22 activations throughout the city, consisting of 16 college and 6 corporate events, engaging over 5,000 individuals. This initiative led to the formation of 16 college teams and 16 corporate teams, showcasing robust participation from both academic and professional sectors.


Activations took place at key educational institutions, corporate parks, and co-working spaces such as Urbanac and Awfis, along with major companies like HCL, Eldeco, and InMobi, ensuring extensive involvement from the corporate community.


Promoting Inclusivity in Sports

The league featured all-girls inter-college matches and mixed-gender corporate tournaments, emphasizing teamwork, equality, and a competitive spirit.
