The Journey of Lord Jagannath's Chariot Resumes Amidst Devotional Celebrations

Nandighosha Chariot's Journey Continues
Puri: The revered chariot of Lord Jagannath, known as Nandighosha, which had paused on Bada Danda on Friday, resumed its journey on Saturday morning. The Grand Road resonated with the sounds of gongs and conches as the sacred procession moved forward, attracting thousands of devotees eager to witness this divine event.
The Nandighosha chariot had temporarily halted near the Shri Gundicha Temple due to the onset of night, leading officials to pause the chariot pulling for safety. However, the atmosphere transformed on Saturday as the Rath began to roll again.
In a statement, Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple, noted that the Ghosha Yatra (chariot procession) on Friday proceeded smoothly without any incidents. He expressed his contentment that all rituals associated with the Gundicha Yatra were completed punctually, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the sevayats, temple administration, district authorities, police, various government departments, media organizations, and the multitude of devotees who participated.
Dr. Padhee conveyed his sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful execution of the festival.
