Security Forces Engage in Gunfight with Terrorists
Jammu: An armed confrontation occurred on Wednesday between security personnel and militants in a secluded village located in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, as reported by officials.
The clash initiated in Kahog village of Billawar during the evening when security forces commenced a search operation based on intelligence regarding the presence of two to three terrorists.
Inspector General of Police, Jammu, Bhim Sen Tuti, confirmed on X that the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Kathua is currently engaging the terrorists in the Kamadh Nullah forest area.
Sources indicate that around 4 PM, a local resident spotted one terrorist in the Kamad Nallah region, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Billawar police station.
This individual may be the same terrorist observed earlier in the day at Dhannu Parole, according to the sources.
Officials have stated that additional reinforcements have been dispatched to the village to assist in neutralizing the threat posed by the terrorists.
