Tragic Attack on Laborers in Kulgam

On Friday night in Kulgam, South Kashmir, two innocent laborers from Chhattisgarh were brutally targeted by terrorists. Latif But, a member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, spent approximately 15 to 20 minutes among the workers at a brick kiln, engaging them in conversation. He inquired about their names and reassured them that they were safe. Unbeknownst to them, he concealed an assault rifle in a black bag.

Deceptive Tactics Used in the Attack
Once the laborers felt secure, the terrorist revealed his true and terrifying intentions. He pretended to step outside for a moment, claiming he was thirsty. When one of the laborers' wives went to fetch him water, he opened fire on the two innocent men without warning. A small child, aged about one and a half to two years, was also present during this horrific incident. After committing the murders, the terrorist fled the scene with an accomplice who had been standing nearby.

Similar Tactics to Previous Attacks
This incident mirrors a previous attack in Pahalgam, where terrorists similarly inquired about tourists' names and religions before executing them. The similarity in methods indicates that these terrorist organizations are not merely focused on killings but are also employing a calculated strategy to instill fear, anxiety, and communal tension.
