Arrests Following Dairy Owner's Murder
Earlier, on January 5, the Delhi Police apprehended two suspects, including the main shooter from the Neeraj Faridpuria gang, in connection with the murder of a dairy owner in Aaya Nagar, where 69 shots were fired. According to officials, the arrests occurred after an encounter in the Dwarka area on Tuesday. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Harsh Indora stated that Ratan Lal Lohia was shot dead near his dairy on November 30. Forensic reports confirmed that his body bore 69 bullet wounds. Police indicated that the assailants had been waiting at the dairy for about half an hour before Lohia's arrival, and they opened fire as soon as he arrived.
Investigation into Gang Involvement
Given the gang's suspected involvement, the case was handed over to the Crime Branch for further investigation. Initial inquiries suggest that the murder may have been a retaliatory act linked to a property dispute. The deceased's son, Deepak, was arrested last year in connection with the murder of businessman Arun Lohia. Authorities are also exploring whether the incident in Aaya Nagar was a revenge attack orchestrated by the Randeep Bhati and Neeraj Faridpuria gangs. Police received information about the suspects' presence in the Dwarka area on Tuesday.
