Missile Strikes Amid Ceasefire Claims

Dubai: On Tuesday morning, Israel issued a warning regarding potential Iranian missile strikes just hours after US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire agreement between the two nations.

According to Israel's Magen David Adom emergency services, the missile barrage resulted in the deaths of at least three individuals and left eight others injured. A residential structure in southern Israel suffered significant damage, as reported by emergency personnel.

Victims of the attack were promptly taken to local hospitals for medical attention, although an official count of the injured has yet to be disclosed.

Following the initial strike, missile alert sirens were activated in central Israel and parts of the southern region, indicating further incoming threats, as stated by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

This latest wave of missile attacks occurred shortly after Iran announced a unilateral suspension of military actions against Israel, effective from 4 a.m. local time.

However, Iranian officials clarified that this ceasefire was conditional, dependent on Israel ceasing its offensive operations.

The discrepancy became apparent when Trump asserted that both nations had agreed to a ceasefire, a statement that Tehran quickly refuted.

Iran's Foreign Ministry promptly denied having received any formal ceasefire proposal from the US, reiterating that its pause in military actions was contingent upon Israel halting its strikes.

As of now, Israel has not publicly addressed Trump's ceasefire announcement.

The ongoing conflict, now in its twelfth day, began with Israel's launch of 'Operation Rising Lion,' aimed at Iranian military and nuclear sites. In response, Iran has conducted multiple missile strikes targeting Israeli territory.

Estimates suggest that nearly 400 individuals have lost their lives in Iran, while around 24 fatalities have been reported in Israel.

The situation escalated further when the United States initiated direct military strikes on key Iranian nuclear facilities located in Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.
