Shocking Revelations in Thiruvananthapuram Immigration Officer's Suicide

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Recent developments in the tragic suicide of an immigration Bureau (IB) officer at Thiruvananthapuram airport have raised serious concerns. Reports indicate that police have uncovered a Telegram conversation between the deceased and Sukanth Suresh, a former IB officer implicated in the case. He faces allegations of raping the victim and contributing to her suicide.

As reported by a local media outlet, the chats suggest that Suresh urged her to take her own life so he could remarry. The police retrieved these messages from a mobile phone that had been seized during the investigation. This phone was discovered in a location where Suresh was hiding after his involvement in the high-profile case came to light.

Authorities stated that the messages indicated Suresh was pressuring her to end her life. When she expressed her suicidal thoughts, he allegedly inquired about her plans, to which she responded, 'August 9.' Tragically, the victim ultimately took her life by jumping in front of a train, resulting in her phone being completely destroyed.

This destruction complicated the police's efforts to recover data, making Suresh's mobile phone a vital piece of evidence in the ongoing investigation. Officials further noted that the accused had exploited the victim both physically and financially, leading her to this desperate act. Efforts are currently underway to locate Suresh, who has gone into hiding. Police have been unable to take action against him as the High Court is reviewing his anticipatory bail application, with a decision expected on Monday.
