The Telangana government has ordered an investigation into alleged encroachments on certain government lands within the city. Official sources disclosed this information on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, K. Kavitha, a suspended member of the Legislative Council from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and president of Telangana Jagruti, has claimed credit for the investigation.

In a statement, she mentioned that the issue of encroachments came to her attention during her visit to Medchal district, which she subsequently brought to the media's notice. She expressed her appreciation for the government's decision to respond to this issue and to order a joint investigation by vigilance and revenue officials.
