Review of Judicial Commission Report on Kaleshwaram Project

On Friday, Telangana's Chief Minister E. Rajender Reddy instructed senior officials to examine the judicial commission's report regarding alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project during the previous BRS government. He emphasized the need for a summary of the findings to be presented to the state cabinet by August 4.

The Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, along with other officials, presented the report to the Chief Minister in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and other ministers. Reddy mandated that a committee, consisting of secretaries from the irrigation, law, and general administration departments, analyze the report and prepare a summary for the cabinet.

The judicial commission, led by former Supreme Court judge and former Lokpal Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghosh, submitted its findings to Principal Secretary (Irrigation) Rahul Bojja at the commission's office on Thursday. The state government had announced the appointment of Justice Ghosh for the judicial inquiry on March 12, 2024.
