Establishment of Research Center at Young India Skill University

On Friday, A. Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister of Telangana, urged officials to set up a research center focused on innovation at the Young India Skill University. During a meeting with the Skill, Human Capital, and Knowledge Training Initiative (Shakti) department, he also instructed the creation of a separate department for teaching foreign languages at the university. Notably, industrialist Anand Mahindra serves as the chairperson of the governing council for the Young India Skills University.

Internship Opportunities and New Courses

An official statement revealed that Reddy directed officials to facilitate internship opportunities for students enrolled in state-run engineering colleges. He emphasized the need to introduce courses related to electric vehicles (EVs) and drone technology at the state's Advanced Technology Center (ATC), which has been established by transforming ITIs.

Strengthening Overseas Employment Initiatives

Reddy also instructed officials to enhance the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM), which assists youth in securing employment abroad. The statement further noted that the Chief Minister indicated that the government would approve nursing colleges based on demand.
