Tejashwi Yadav Welcomes Newborn Son, Named Irāj
Celebrating a New Addition to the Family
On Wednesday, Lalu Prasad, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), announced that his family has named their newborn grandson Irāj. Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the opposition in the Bihar Assembly, has become a father for the second time.
Tejashwi's wife gave birth to their son on Tuesday at a private hospital in Kolkata. Lalu Prasad shared the news on the social media platform X, stating that he and Rabri Devi have chosen the name Irāj for the younger brother of their granddaughter Katyayani.
The full name given by Tejashwi and Rajshri is Irāj Lalu Yadav. He further mentioned that Katyayani was born on the auspicious eighth day of Navratri, and this little boy was born on Tuesday, a day dedicated to Lord Hanuman, which is why they decided on the name Irāj. He expressed gratitude for everyone’s good wishes and blessings, confirming that both mother and newborn are healthy.
A family member revealed that Rajshri had been admitted to the same private hospital in Kolkata for several days prior to the birth. Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also visited the hospital on Tuesday to meet with Yadav.
