Tejashwi Yadav Critiques Chirag Paswan Over Bihar's Law and Order Issues

Tejashwi Yadav's Response to Chirag Paswan's Concerns

On Monday, Tejashwi Yadav, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, targeted Union Minister Chirag Paswan. Paswan had expressed his worries regarding the law and order situation in the state following the murder of businessman Gopal Khemka. As a key ally of the NDA in Bihar, Paswan criticized the government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar after Khemka was shot dead outside his residence. In response, Yadav mocked Paswan, stating that while he comments on the rising crime rates, he continues to support the very government responsible for them.

Yadav remarked that Paswan evidently lacks a clear ideology. He pointed out that Paswan speaks about the crimes occurring in the state yet still backs the government. He accused Paswan of supporting those undermining the Constitution, asserting that Paswan has contributed nothing to Bihar, neither as a minister nor in any other capacity, and is merely putting on an act. The leader of the opposition in the state also noted that Paswan is currently embroiled in a conflict with his ally, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and expressed uncertainty about whether Paswan would contest in this year's Bihar elections.

Yadav stated, 'I have no idea what Chirag Paswan will do next or if he will even participate in the elections. Right now, he is in a clash with Jitan Ram Manjhi. There is a dispute between them, but I am unsure of the outcome. Paswan talks nonsense. He has served as an MP twice—can he tell us what he has accomplished?' Following this, the RJD leader criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the escalating crime in the state, claiming that Kumar has 'sold his morality' and is presiding over a 'monster rule' in Bihar. He alleged that under the governance of the BJP and CM Nitish Kumar, criminals are being released from prisons, and despite the dire situation, 'no action is being taken against chaos and crime.'
