Tejashwi Yadav Criticizes Sources on Illegal Immigrants in Bihar Voter List

Tejashwi Yadav's Controversial Remarks

Tejashwi Yadav, a prominent leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), expressed his discontent on Sunday regarding the potential presence of illegal immigrants in the Bihar voter list. During a press conference, he criticized a journalist for citing sources, referring to such sources as 'urine'. Yadav raised concerns about the verification of voters and the possible removal of names from the voter list. When questioned about reports of foreign illegal immigrants in voter lists across India, which the Election Commission plans to review thoroughly, he responded with skepticism.

In his response, Yadav accused the Election Commission of planting news through unnamed sources instead of addressing the issue directly. He claimed these sources were the same that had previously taken control during Operation Sindoor in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi, thus dismissing them as unreliable. Election Commission officials stated on Sunday that during their extensive review of the voter list in Bihar, they encountered a significant number of individuals from Nepal, Bangladesh, and Myanmar.

Shortly after his comments, Yadav faced significant backlash from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Party leader Sanjay Jaiswal labeled him as uneducated and irresponsible. Speaking to a news outlet, Jaiswal urged Yadav to apologize and to refrain from making statements beyond what he has been taught at home. He remarked, "Only Tejashwi Yadav could make such comments about journalists or anyone else. The issue with him is that he lacks education, so he merely repeats what his family teaches him. When asked anything outside of that, he tends to make such blunders."
