Police Rescue Operation in Palamu

On Friday, authorities in Jharkhand's Palamu district successfully rescued the teenage son of a police officer and apprehended his kidnappers. According to police reports, the 18-year-old son of constable Dinesh Kumar Singh was allegedly abducted by two individuals on Thursday evening.


Law enforcement officials revealed that the kidnappers demanded a ransom of two lakh rupees from the father, who is currently stationed in Tenughat, Bokaro district. Singh promptly reported the incident to the Superintendent of Police, Rishma Ramesan, which prompted an immediate police response.


Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid at a residence in the Housing Colony area, successfully rescuing Sandeep. The arrested suspects have been identified as Shubham Shukla and Chandan Shukla. Notably, Chandan, a resident of Palhe village in the Paatan police station area, was previously involved in a similar case in 2021. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
