Teen Murdered in Delhi Park: Five Minors Arrested

Tragic Incident in Delhi's Japanese Park

In a shocking incident in Delhi, a teenager was lured to a public park through social media and was allegedly murdered by a group of minors using a knife. This information was confirmed by an official on Saturday.

According to the officer, the victim had been in a romantic relationship with the sister of one of the accused. A total of five minors, including the girl's underage brother, have been apprehended in connection with the case. The attack occurred on January 15 in Rohini, a northwestern area of Delhi, where 18-year-old Divyanshu was assaulted in broad daylight.

The police reported that the plot to kill Divyanshu was allegedly orchestrated by the girl's younger brother. On the day of the incident, around 3 PM, the police control room received a call, prompting a team to rush to the scene where they found Divyanshu injured. He was transported to BSA Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.

As per police statements, a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and an investigation has commenced. During the inquiry, eyewitness accounts and evidence revealed that the girl's brother, a 17-year-old minor, had strongly opposed the relationship and had plotted to kill Divyanshu.

Investigators disclosed that the accused used a friend's social media account to contact Divyanshu and invited him to the park under the pretense of meeting. On the day of the incident, he reportedly arrived at the park with his accomplices and attacked Divyanshu with a knife, leading to his death.

The police confirmed that all individuals involved in the crime are minors and were apprehended within 24 hours of the case being registered. They also recovered the knife used in the crime, the victim's mobile phone, wristwatch, and a bracelet from the minors. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
