Bribery Case in Bikaner District

On Monday, a team from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended a technician from the Jodhpur Discom in Bikaner district for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹1,45,000. This information was confirmed by officials.


The technician, identified as Vinod Kumar, was working in the Jodhpur Discom subdivision located in Shri Dungargarh. According to a statement from the Bureau's Director General, Govind Gupta, the complainant reported that Kumar was demanding a bribe in exchange for facilitating the transfer of an agricultural electricity connection and for reducing the amount due for the violation and compliance report (VCR).


The ACB team arrested Kumar after he was caught red-handed accepting the bribe at his office on Monday. Further investigations into the case are currently underway.
