Tata Mumbai Marathon Set for 21st Edition
The Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM) is gearing up for its 21st edition on January 18, 2026. This prestigious World Athletics Gold Label Race is expected to attract a remarkable 69,100 participants, comprising over 65,400 runners on-site and more than 3,700 in the virtual category, as reported by TMM officials.
Milestone Participation Across Various Categories
This year, the marathon will set a new record with 14,059 runners tackling the full marathon distance for the first time. Additionally, there has been a notable increase in participation in both the Half Marathon and Open 10K events. The growth is particularly evident among women runners, timed participants, and diverse communities engaging in the Dream Run, showcasing the widespread acceptance of running across different demographics.

Rajesh Aggarwal, Chief Secretary of Maharashtra, emphasized the marathon's significant contributions to both public health and the local economy.
