Tata Group's Generous Support Following Air India Tragedy


New Delhi: In a heartfelt response to the tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, Tata Group has announced a compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of each victim.


The ill-fated aircraft, which was en route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, tragically went down shortly after takeoff on Thursday afternoon.


N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Group and Air India, expressed profound sorrow over the incident, stating, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic event involving Air India Flight 171. Words cannot convey the depth of our grief. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost their loved ones, as well as those who have sustained injuries.”


He further confirmed that Tata Group would cover medical expenses for the injured and ensure they receive the necessary care and support.



Additionally, Tata Group has pledged support for the construction of the BJ Medical hostel, reinforcing their commitment to assist affected families and communities during this challenging time.
