Recognition of Skill Competition Winners

Tamil Nadu's Deputy Chief Minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin, honored the winners of the Tamil Nadu Skill Competition 2025 on Wednesday. During the event, he emphasized the state government's commitment to enhancing students' employability through skill development initiatives. To date, 1,200 students have secured jobs, and the government plans to host over 100 job fairs by June, featuring leading companies such as Infosys, Tata, and TVS.


Government Initiatives for Student Support

At the event, Udhayanidhi Stalin stated that the skill development department is dedicated to uplifting and assisting students. He noted that through this department, 1,200 students have found employment. By June, the government aims to organize more than 100 job fairs, with participation from top firms like Infosys, Tata, and TVS, which are also committed to providing skills and hiring students. Additionally, the Chief Minister has launched a free laptop scheme to aid students.


Launch of Development Projects

On December 26, Stalin inaugurated a series of development projects worth over ₹1,700 crores in the Kallakurichi district. During this event, he criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), asserting that under the Dravidian governance model, Tamil Nadu has emerged as a model for inclusive development. While addressing a public gathering in Veeracholapuram, he laid the foundation for new projects worth ₹386.48 crores, inaugurated completed projects valued at ₹341.77 crores, and provided ₹1,045.41 crores in government welfare assistance.


Allocation of Funds for Welfare Schemes

A total of ₹1,773.68 crores has been allocated across various government departments, with new projects worth ₹1,773 crores launched and welfare schemes implemented. The Chief Minister remarked, "States governed by the BJP represent a different India, plagued by poverty, religious violence, murders, and unemployment, while the BJP's India is the only India. He further stated, "No matter how many slaves the BJP recruits and beats, they cannot incite religious fanaticism among the people of Tamil Nadu, who live in unity."
