In response, DMK convened a meeting of its legislative party. Meanwhile, amidst the ongoing 'numbers game' regarding government formation, nearly 40 AIADMK legislators have been stationed at a resort in Puducherry.

Following the DMK meeting, party leaders stated that although the electorate has mandated them to sit in opposition, party president M.K. Stalin would be authorized to make any political decisions if circumstances necessitate.

This statement has reignited speculation about a potential agreement or coalition between DMK and AIADMK, aimed at keeping TVK out of power.
