Moreover, the woman benefiting from the scheme must be at least 21 years old, with eligibility extending to those born before September 15, 2002.
Application Process
Registration with a family card is mandatory for this scheme. Only families with a registered family card can apply. Each card will allow only one beneficiary to receive the payment.
The designated female head of the family will receive ₹1,000 monthly. Payments will be deposited into the account of the woman listed as the family head. If a male is registered as the head, his wife will be designated as the beneficiary.
Eligibility Criteria
In cases where the family card does not list the wife of the head, another woman can be designated as the beneficiary, provided she is under 21 years of age.
Additionally, if the family head is a widow, unmarried, or transgender, they will also be eligible for the benefits.
CM Stalin emphasized that this initiative is named in honor of Kalaignar, coinciding with the centenary of his birth.
