Stalin's Strong Critique of BJP's Stance on Secularism

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. K. Stalin, expressed serious concerns on Saturday, claiming that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) harbors a deep-seated animosity towards the concept of secularism and is eager to eliminate it from the Constitution.

During a Christmas event, Stalin praised the contributions of Sara Tucker, a 19th-century Christian missionary, for her role in promoting education among women in Tirunelveli, located in southern Tamil Nadu.

He emphasized that institutions like Sara Tucker College have laid the groundwork for women's education in the region. Furthermore, he reiterated his allegations against the BJP, stating that the party views secularism as bitter as the fruit of the neem tree and is intent on removing it from the Constitution.

Stalin remarked, “The BJP aims to dismantle the country's diversity and establish an authoritarian future characterized by one religion, one language, one culture, one election, one party, and one leader. They are attempting to implement this agenda in Tamil Nadu as well, but the DMK and the state possess the strength to oppose and thwart the BJP's nefarious plans.”
