The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, C. Joseph Vijay, has appointed Riki Radhan Pandit Vetrivel as his Special Executive Officer with immediate effect. Radhan also serves as the spokesperson for the Tamilga Vetrik Kazhagam (TVK). According to a press release, the Tamil Nadu Public Department has issued an order for Riki Radhan Pandit Vetrivel to assume his duties as the Chief Minister's (Political) Special Executive Officer (OSD) from the date of appointment.

Radhan described Vijay's horoscope as 'extraordinary,' even referring to it as a 'tsunami horoscope,' asserting that the actor-politician would rise to the top and likely become Chief Minister with a significant majority. During the exit polls, he claimed that they would win more than 170 or 140 seats. He stated, 'We are disregarding these exit polls. I am confident we will win with over 170 or 140 seats. We have conducted thorough research and our own survey. We are assured of receiving at least 45% of the votes, not just between 20-25%... With 108 hours left until counting... we will take the oath in the 109th hour. Our victory will be extraordinary, and Vijay will become Chief Minister.' Notably, the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly elections marked a significant political shift in the state. The TVK emerged as a formidable force, winning 108 seats in the 234-member assembly. Although the party did not secure a clear majority on its own, it successfully formed a government with support from Congress, CPI, CPI (M), VCK, and the Indian Union Muslim League.
