Following the announcement of K. Annamalai's departure from the party, Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran claimed on Saturday that certain party members are being "misled." He clarified that no one is permitted to resign after Annamalai's resignation as the state president. During a press conference, Nagendran urged party members not to believe in rumors or external influences. He confirmed that Annamalai had resigned from the BJP, a decision that the party has accepted. The party requested that I wait until after the elections to leave." BJP President Nitin Nabeen accepted Annamalai's resignation from the party's primary membership today. In his resignation letter, Annamalai thanked the BJP leadership for their unwavering support over the years, citing differing views on Tamil Nadu as a reason for his departure.
