India's Group Stage Matches
India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will begin their title defense against the USA at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on February 7. This match will be their second encounter in T20I history, following a previous victory over the USA in last year's group stage.
Next, India will face Namibia at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on February 12. Namibia secured their spot in this World Cup by winning their semifinal in the Africa Regional Qualifiers against Tanzania. The two teams last met during the 2021 T20 World Cup, where India triumphed by nine wickets.
The highly anticipated match against Pakistan will occur on February 15 at R Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo. This will be their first meeting since the Asia Cup controversy, with India holding a 7-1 advantage in their T20 World Cup encounters.
Finally, India will conclude the group stage against the Netherlands at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 18. Historically, India has dominated their encounters with the Netherlands, winning all four previous matches.
