Indore Police Act Quickly to Rescue Abducted Minors
The police in Indore successfully rescued two missing minors within hours of their abduction in the Palasia area, apprehending four suspects, including two women involved in the kidnapping scheme. A police official reported this development on Friday. The abductors had demanded a ransom of ₹1.5 million from the boys' parents. The minors were taken from Tirupati Garden on Thursday evening, prompting an immediate police response and investigation.
Additionally, the police engaged with the kidnappers by posing as family members to trace their location. A raid was conducted at an apartment in the Datt Nagar area, leading to the safe recovery of the children and the arrest of all four suspects. Surendra Singh Raghuvanshi, the officer in charge of the Palasia police station, informed that they received a report around 8:45 PM regarding a missing boy from Tirupati Garden. Upon arrival, they discovered that two boys were missing and began gathering information from local residents while reviewing CCTV footage.
Initial investigations revealed the involvement of both men and women in the crime. The officer noted that the families of the children were receiving ransom calls from various numbers. Raghuvanshi explained that a police team was formed to collect technical evidence. The kidnappers had demanded approximately ₹1.5 million as ransom. During this time, the police initiated conversations with the kidnappers while posing as family members to ensnare them. Concurrently, the police team reached the Datt Nagar area where the children were held. They acted swiftly to apprehend all the kidnappers and safely rescue the minors.
The crime involved four suspects, including two men and two women. Among the accused are siblings Vineet (22) and Radhika (19), along with married couple Tanisha (21) and Lalit (21), all residents of Indore. The officer revealed that Lalit and Tanisha owned the flat in Datt Nagar where the children were kept after the abduction. Raghuvanshi further stated that during preliminary questioning, the suspects disclosed their financial troubles, which led them to commit this crime in hopes of fulfilling their future aspirations. All suspects are young, and their previous records are currently under investigation.
