Introduction to the 2025 Suzuki GSX-8R

Suzuki India is responding to the intensifying competition in the superbike market, particularly with Honda's recent launches. The company has introduced the V Storm 800 De and the newly updated GSX-8R, ensuring its presence across various segments. The GSX-8R has been revamped to the My25 version, incorporating essential updates to meet the latest stringent emission regulations.


Features of the 2025 Suzuki GSX-8R

The GSX-8R is a well-regarded 800cc super sport motorcycle globally, appealing to riders looking for a serious machine for track experiences. Despite its super sport classification, it also offers impressive touring capabilities. The bike has undergone significant powertrain modifications to comply with the new BS6, P2 OBD2B emission standards mandated by the Indian Government, effective from April 2025. Priced at Rs 3.25 lakh, it is available in three color options: Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Matte Sword Silver, and Metallic Matte Black No 2.


Engine Specifications and Updates

The Suzuki GSX-8R retains its 776 CC parallel-twin liquid-cooled DOHC 4V/cyl engine, but it has been updated to align with the latest emission standards. The engine features a 270-degree crank, producing 82 BHP at 8500 RPM and 78 Nm of torque at 6800 RPM. It now includes an Easy Start System, Ride By Wire Electronic Throttle, and a bi-directional Quick Shifter, enhancing its usability in traffic. Additionally, the bike is equipped with USD telescopic front forks, a rear mono shock, and a dual disc brake setup, complemented by 17-inch cast aluminum wheels fitted with Dunlop tires.
