New Delhi, July 20: Authorities discovered the bodies of two individuals under suspicious circumstances in the Amar Colony area of Delhi on Monday, as reported by officials.
The police indicated that the bodies were located in a flat situated in the Sant Nagar region of Amar Colony.
Officials confirmed that both bodies have been secured by the police, and an investigation is currently in progress.
Initial reports suggest that the deceased were found in a flat where a woman, originally from Nagpur, Maharashtra, had been residing as a tenant for the last two years. Alongside her body, a man's body was also present.
According to officials, the man was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan, while the woman was found lying on the bed.
Upon notification, police promptly arrived at the scene to take control of the situation. The woman's family in Nagpur has been informed of the incident.
Abhishek, the landlord, shared with a news outlet that he had leased Room No. 4 to the woman, who had been a reliable tenant for two years.
"We received a call in the morning about someone attempting to break into the room. Consequently, we dispatched the caretaker to investigate," he explained.
Upon inspection, the caretaker discovered the bodies of both the woman and the man. The landlord mentioned that while they had some details about the woman, who was around 26 years old, they lacked information regarding the man.
"The woman was employed in Nehru Place and was known for her pleasant demeanor and timely rent payments," Abhishek added.
He noted that the young man had visited her, and there may have been a disagreement between them, although they had no specific details about him.
The police are actively pursuing the investigation, and further updates are anticipated.
