Tragic Discovery in Sant Kabir Nagar

In a troubling incident in Sant Kabir Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, the body of a 20-year-old student was found hanging in her room under suspicious circumstances. Authorities reported this on Sunday. The incident occurred in Gorakhal village, located within the Khalilabad police jurisdiction, where the victim's family has accused someone of murder.


Details of the Incident

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sushil Kumar Singh stated that upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene, retrieved the body, and sent it for autopsy. The deceased has been identified as Kumari Sonam, a resident of Hasar Bazaar in the Dhanghata area, who had been living in Gorakhal village. Initial investigations revealed that Sonam was preparing for competitive exams.


Family's Allegations

Sonam's mother, Vinda Devi, mentioned that her daughter had been residing in Gorakhal for a year and shared her room with another student. She alleged that her daughter's roommate, in collusion with another individual, was involved in this tragic event. The police have registered a case and commenced an investigation into the matter.
