The woman was diagnosed with Sjögren’s syndrome, an autoimmune disorder that causes dryness in the eyes, skin, and even the vagina, making natural conception challenging.
Dr. Mahima concluded by stating that approximately 10 to 15% of couples experience unexplained infertility, where all tests appear normal yet conception does not occur. Conditions like Sjögren’s syndrome can often be the underlying cause. Fortunately, with timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment, pregnancy is entirely possible, as was the case for this couple.
