Unexpected Cobra Encounter in Kushinagar
Kushinagar: A startling incident unfolded in the village of Batesra, located in the Kasya development block, when a group of snakes was discovered while clearing bricks and mud in a home. During renovation work, a cobra was spotted, and soon after, the number of snakes began to increase. The sighting of 25 cobras in a single residence caused panic among the villagers, who quickly gathered to witness the unusual event. The local forest department was notified about the situation.
Details of the Incident
This occurrence took place at the residence of Shukurullah, son of Aleem. While construction was underway, a person named Sahim noticed a large cobra and called others to inform them that more snakes were present. Among the snakes, there was one large cobra and several smaller ones. The frightened villagers alerted the local head, Mohan Lal Gupta, who then contacted snake rescuer Shatrudhan Yadav. Upon arrival, the rescuer carefully removed the bricks and mud to safely extract one large cobra along with 24 baby cobras. Following the rescue, all snakes were relocated to the forest.
Rescue and Release of Snakes
During the rescue operation, it was discovered that one large cobra had unfortunately died after being trapped under the bricks, while the rest were successfully saved and released into a safe forest area. The snake rescuer urged the villagers not to harm any snakes they might encounter in the future.
