Importance of BJP's Governance for Kerala's Development

Union Minister Suresh Gopi emphasized the necessity of having a 'Double Engine' government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the progress of Kerala. He made these remarks while assessing the potential for preserving heritage buildings at Kollam Junction railway station on Friday, accompanied by MP N.K. Premachandran.

Gopi, who represents Thrissur, stated, "I urge the people to observe the benefits that other states are reaping due to the 'Double Engine' government..." He asserted that for Kerala to advance, it is essential to either have a BJP-led government or a scenario where BJP can influence governance.

Referring to a forensic laboratory project approved by the central government, Gopi noted that it was initially proposed to be set up in Thrissur. However, due to the state government's claim of land unavailability, the project has now been relocated to Thiruvananthapuram.

He mentioned, "The center had requested 25 acres of land in Thrissur. A significant project is set to come to Thrissur soon." The minister accused the state government of possibly having issues with Thrissur, as many development initiatives are being moved out of the district.

Gopi insisted that the residents of Thrissur deserve to know why development projects are being diverted away from their district, emphasizing that all areas should be included in the development process.
