Supreme Court Issues Warning About Fraudulent Website Impersonating Its Domain
Alert on Phishing Attempts Targeting the Public
New Delhi: On Tuesday, the Supreme Court Registry released a public advisory regarding a fraudulent website that is mimicking its official domain, urging all individuals to refrain from sharing any personal or financial details.
This warning follows previous notices issued on July 16, 2025, April 28, 2026, and August 13, 2026, which addressed similar deceptive sites aimed at cloning the Supreme Court's official website to defraud users through phishing tactics.
The Registry has specifically identified a new fraudulent domain, scigovinjudicial.com, which is posing as the Court's legitimate online presence.
According to the notice, cybercriminals may use this link to attempt to gather sensitive personal information and confidential credentials from the public.
Stakeholders are strongly advised against sharing any personal financial data, as such actions could enable these criminals to steal information.
The Registry encourages everyone to remain vigilant and to verify the legitimacy of all electronic communications they receive.
The official domain of the Supreme Court of India is sci.gov.in. Users are recommended to check the authenticity of URLs by hovering over them before engaging.
Those who believe they may have fallen victim to this phishing scheme should promptly change their passwords for all online accounts and inform their banks about any unauthorized access.
