Match Day Preparations at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium

On Sunday, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will welcome Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the 10th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) Secretary, Jeevan Reddy, announced on Friday that extensive measures have been implemented in Uppal to guarantee a secure and enjoyable experience for fans.

Security and Ticketing Measures in Place

In a statement, Reddy emphasized that the HCA is collaborating closely with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the management of Sunrisers Hyderabad, and local law enforcement to ensure all operational and security protocols are followed. He mentioned, "We are in constant communication with the Sunrisers Hyderabad team and the BCCI, along with local police. The police commissioner's office is actively overseeing the arrangements to ensure safety during the match and for public movement."

Reddy also noted that the stadium can accommodate around 36,000 spectators, and ticket distribution is being meticulously managed to prioritize genuine fans. "With a seating capacity of nearly 36,000, we are monitoring ticket sales to ensure they are accessible to the public and not sold through unauthorized channels. The police are also supervising this process," he added.

Focus on Digital Ticketing to Prevent Fraud

Discussing the ticketing strategy, Reddy highlighted that tickets are primarily available online, emphasizing digital access to minimize fraudulent activities. "Tickets are mainly sold online, and printed tickets are not permitted. Entry will be through mobile-based barcode tickets to enhance security and transparency," he explained.

He urged fans to be vigilant and avoid scams or unauthorized sellers. "I advise cricket enthusiasts not to trust misleading information or send money to unknown individuals claiming to sell tickets. We do not distribute tickets through third parties. Please utilize official platforms like the District app for ticket purchases," Reddy cautioned.

Reaffirming the association's dedication to transparency and fan safety, he concluded, "All arrangements are being made to ensure a smooth and transparent process. Fans should disregard rumors and enjoy the match responsibly." Sunrisers Hyderabad will enter the Uppal stadium following a victory over Kolkata Knight Riders by 65 runs at Eden Gardens.
