The Zone School Sports Organization meeting for the Palampur and Sulah zones took place at Government Senior Secondary School Dehan, presided over by Mrs. Kamlesh Kumari, the District School Sports Organization President and Deputy Director of Higher Education.
Participation and Leadership
The meeting saw participation from principals, headmasters, DPEs, and PETs from the relevant zones, organized under the guidance of the host school's Principal, Mrs. Anju Lata Thakur.
Election of Office Bearers (2026–28)
The election for the zonal executive committee was conducted, resulting in the following members being elected unanimously:
Palampur Zone
- Mr. Shiv Gupta, Principal of GSSS Ghuggar
- Mr. Pawan Kumar, Headmaster of GHS Tanda
- Mr. Ranjit Negi, DPE of GSSS Gwalatikkar
- Mr. Vikas, PET of GSSS Jia
Sulah Zone
- Mr. Pradeep Dhiman, Principal of GSSS Marhoon
- Mrs. Rakhi Sharma, Headmaster of GHS Thandol
- Mr. Ajay Sood, DPE of GSSS Daroh
- Mr. Vinod Kumar, PET of GSSS Punrhar
Upcoming Sports Events
The venues for the Under-19 boys’ and girls’ sports competitions for the 2026–27 season were confirmed:
- Sulah Zone: Boys – GSSS Sulah; Girls – GSSS Dehan
- Palampur Zone: Boys – GSSS Chachian; Girls – GSSS Lahla
Mr. Atul Katoch, ADPO, emphasized the sports activities planned for 2025–26.
In her speech, Mrs. Kamlesh Kumari expressed her best wishes for elevating Kangra district's sports achievements and congratulated the newly formed executive committee.
