Sanjeev Soni has been elected as the new Branch President, with Anup Kumar Sharma and Sheela Gupta taking on the roles of Branch Secretary and Treasurer, respectively. The meeting also paid tribute to the late Anilendra Katoch. With over 1,600 branches across India, Bharat Vikas Parishad continues to focus on community service and cultural initiatives. The annual elections for the Bharat Vikas Parishad's Palampur branch for the 2026–27 term were successfully held with the oversight of Provincial Observer and State President Dr. Virendra Kaul.


In this election, Sanjeev Soni, a senior member and President of the Joint Trade Association in Palampur, was unanimously elected as the Branch President. Additionally, Anup Kumar Sharma was appointed as Branch Secretary, and Sheela Gupta took on the role of Branch Treasurer.


During the meeting, attendees observed a moment of silence in memory of the late Anilendra Katoch, a respected member of the Palampur branch who recently passed away.


After his election, Sanjeev Soni expressed his appreciation to the members and committed to enhancing the activities of Bharat Vikas Parishad with their collective support. He mentioned that the branch executive committee would be established shortly after discussions with the members.


It is important to note that Bharat Vikas Parishad operates over 1,600 branches throughout India, engaging in various projects that emphasize service and cultural values. The Palampur branch, part of Himachal Pradesh West Province, has been actively involved in nation-building efforts for more than 25 years.


The election meeting saw the participation of numerous dignitaries and members, including former provincial president Jitendra Banta, Manoj Ratna, provincial contact head Sudarshan Vasudeva, Dr. Rajesh Mahajan, Ravindra Sharma, Gyan Chand Sharma, Jaisia Ram Bhandral, E. Amar Sandal, Gagan Vasudeva, Randeep Sood, Sushma Ratna, and others.
