Students March for Justice in New Delhi

New Delhi: On Tuesday, members of a student group organized a march starting from Connaught Place, advocating for the immediate release of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders and protesting against the recent decision to de-notify Jantar Mantar as an official protest venue.

The demonstrators, linked to the student organization Disha, urged the public—especially young people—to join them in significant numbers to reclaim Jantar Mantar.

Delhi Police detained CJP leaders Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka, and Ajinkya Shinde earlier that morning as they attempted to access Jantar Mantar.

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke shared on X that several other members were also apprehended by law enforcement.

Disha members called for the swift release of Ranka, Das, and other CJP affiliates, framing the march as a quest for justice.
