Stray Dog Incident in Dharakote


Dharakote: A stray dog, believed to be rabid, has caused panic in the villages of Kusurab, Lakshmipur, and Bariguda within the Dharakote block of Ganjam district, injuring at least seven individuals over the last two days.


The victims include Bipra Pradhan, Ramesh Goud, Ashwini Dakua, Indra Raut, and Kashinath Jena from Kusurab village, along with Biswanath Das from Lakshmipur and Banamali Das from Bariguda.


All injured parties received medical attention and anti-rabies vaccinations at the Aska Sub-Divisional Hospital.


Residents are now living in fear as the dog continues to roam freely, targeting people of various ages.


Due to the threat, many parents are hesitant to let their children go outside alone. Local community members are calling on authorities to take swift action to resolve this alarming situation.
