A pivotal meeting was convened by the Animal Husbandry Department at the renowned Chaurasi Temple complex in Bharmour on Tuesday. The session was led by Gulshan Kumar, the Assistant Director of the department, and centered on the pressing issue of stray dogs, focusing on their sterilization and rabies management.


During the meeting, Gulshan Kumar revealed that the Animal Birth Control (ABC) initiative will soon commence sterilization procedures for stray dogs in the area. Additionally, anti-rabies vaccinations will be administered to curb the spread of this serious disease.


He highlighted that the main objective of this campaign is to manage the stray dog population humanely while safeguarding both the public and livestock from rabies. The department is currently formulating a detailed action plan to ensure the effective implementation of this initiative.


Kumar called for collaboration, urging all relevant departments, Panchayat representatives, and local community members to support the campaign, emphasizing that public involvement is crucial for its success. He noted that the successful execution of this program will contribute to a safer and healthier environment in the region.


The meeting saw participation from social worker Moti Sharma, Rajendra Bunty, Suresh Sharma, Vinod Sharma, Amit Sharma, Virender Sharma, and other notable figures.
