Finn anticipates that England will defeat India in Mumbai on March 5, while South Africa is expected to overcome New Zealand in Kolkata on March 4. He noted that India might feel the weight of expectations while playing on home soil, recalling the quiet atmosphere in Ahmedabad following India's loss to Australia in the 2023 ODI World Cup final. Additionally, he mentioned Suryakumar Yadav's recent difficulties when under pressure.

In contrast, Stuart Broad, another former England bowler, shared a different viewpoint. He concurred that South Africa would likely win against New Zealand but predicted that India would progress to the final at the expense of England.
