In an interview with JioStar, Cummins discussed the difficulty of managing impactful players like the 15-year-old prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who had previously scored a century against SRH in Jaipur. He stated, "As bowlers, we must find a balance between our strengths and the strategies we employ. When facing players capable of changing the game, we often develop alternative plans. Although he scored a hundred against us last time, we executed well at times, and we will learn from our experiences."

Cummins reiterated that the team's focus is on consistent execution rather than complicating their approach for individual players. He mentioned, "We aim to stick to our strengths while making minor adjustments as necessary. The key is to execute effectively during crucial moments."

The SRH captain also commended Heinrich Klaasen for his remarkable performance this season, describing him as a pivotal player for the team. Klaasen currently ranks as the third-highest run-scorer in the IPL, amassing 606 runs in 14 matches with an impressive average of 50.50, including six half-centuries. Cummins remarked, "He’s an exceptional player who has elevated his game this year. His performances, especially in challenging conditions, have been outstanding. We are fortunate to have him in our middle order, contributing significantly to our success."
