Speculations Rise Over Political Shift as TMC Leader Visits NCP MP's Clinic
Political Rumors Intensify in Kolkata
Kolkata, August 3 - Speculation regarding potential party switching has surged following Trinamool Congress leader Shashi Panja's visit to the clinic of NCP MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar for the second consecutive day on Monday. Despite inquiries about her possible departure from the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool, the former minister refrained from providing a definitive answer. As journalists approached her outside the clinic, they questioned whether she was preparing to leave the Trinamool.
With a slight smile, she simply remarked, “I have to go,” before departing the scene. The clinic is located approximately 800 meters from the residence of former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kalighat. Following Panja's brief comment, discussions regarding her political stance have intensified.
Last week, similar speculations arose after her visit to the same clinic. However, Ghosh Dastidar, who has rebelled against the Trinamool, dismissed any political implications of these meetings, stating that her relationship with Panja spans over three decades and is entirely related to their medical professions.
