Background of Sheshadri Ramanujan Chari
Born on April 2, 1953, in Matunga, Bombay, Maharashtra, Sheshadri Chari is one of five children of Ramanujan Chari and Kalyani, who hailed from a Tamil Brahmin family in Thanjavur. After the Emergency, he became an RSS propagator first in the Mumbai metropolitan area and later in Thane. In 1988, he transitioned to the Bharatiya Janata Party, where he became the General Secretary of the Mumbai unit. Chari gained prominence as the editor of the RSS's weekly publication, Organizer, from 1992 to 2004. In 2007, he served as the head of the party worker training department within the RSS.
