Torres' Extra-Time Goal Secures Win

This defeat marked the end of a remarkable era for Argentina and Messi, who led his nation to the 2022 FIFA World Cup and Copa America victories in 2021 and 2024. Substitute Ferran Torres became the hero of the final, scoring the decisive goal in the 106th minute with a powerful shot that found the net beyond Argentina's goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez.

This victory marked Spain's second men's FIFA World Cup title, their first since 2010.
