David Miller's performance against Australia continues to be exceptional. In his 28 ODI innings against the reigning champions, he has amassed 1,184 runs, boasting an impressive average of 59.2 and a strike rate nearing 107, including four centuries and six fifties. This innings marked Miller's 31st fifty-plus score while batting at number five or lower, surpassing the previous record of 30 held by the legendary Jonty Rhodes. Additionally, his eight ODI centuries now tie him with England's Jos Buttler for the most centuries in this batting position, overtaking Indian greats Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni, who each have seven. Notably, this was Miller's fourth ODI century against Australia in 28 innings, with only Faf du Plessis ahead of him with five centuries in 21 innings.

Bavuma's Milestone as Captain

Temba Bavuma's century was his fifth as the captain of South Africa in ODIs, equaling Faf du Plessis. However, he still trails behind AB de Villiers, who holds the record for the most centuries as a Proteas captain with 13.

Edwards Makes History

On the bowling front, Australian all-rounder Jack Edwards made headlines by taking 5 wickets for 67 runs, becoming only the second Australian, after Nathan Bracken, to achieve an ODI five-wicket haul against South Africa on their home soil.
