In an exciting second T20I at Seddon Park on Tuesday, South Africa Women emerged victorious against New Zealand Women by 18 runs, leveling the five-match series at 1-1.
Strong Performance from the Proteas
Batting first, the Proteas Women set a challenging target, thanks to significant contributions from their middle order and a powerful finish in the closing overs. Kayla Reyneke was awarded Player of the Match for her explosive 28 runs off just 9 balls.
The team posted a total of 177 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Openers Sune Luus and Tanzim Brits laid a solid foundation with a 62-run partnership, scoring 31 off 21 balls and 53 off 43 balls, respectively.
