South Africa Announces Squad for ICC World Test Championship Final Against Australia

South Africa's Squad for the WTC Final
Temba Bavuma will captain a 15-member squad representing South Africa in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final against Australia, scheduled for June at Lord's, as reported by the ICC.
The team has been bolstered by the return of fast bowler Lungi Ngidi, who had been sidelined due to a groin injury during the home summer matches.
Ngidi has since made a full recovery and participated in white-ball cricket earlier this year, as well as in various global T20 leagues.
Bavuma will lead South Africa in their inaugural WTC Final, commencing on June 11 at Lord's.
Key Players in South Africa's Line-Up
The top order will feature Tony de Zorzi, Ryan Rickelton, and Aiden Markram, while the middle order will be reinforced by rising talent Tristan Stubbs, David Bedingham, and Bavuma himself.
Kyle Verreynne will provide a dynamic presence as wicketkeeper, and all-rounders Wiaan Mulder and Marco Jansen are expected to contribute significantly with the bat.
Head coach Shukri Conrad has officially announced the squad for the eagerly awaited WTC Final against Australia, taking place from June 11 to June 15 at Lord's Cricket Ground in London.
Mulder and Jansen will be joined by star pacer Kagiso Rabada, Ngidi, Dane Paterson, and Corbin Bosch to form a formidable fast-bowling attack. Keshav Maharaj will lead the spin department alongside Senuran Muthusamy.
Core Team Retained for the Title Clash
The Proteas have largely retained their trusted core, making only two adjustments to the 16-player squad that faced Pakistan. Youngster Kwena Maphaka has been replaced by the returning Ngidi, while top-order batter Matthew Breetzke has also been omitted.
South Africa topped the league stage with a points percentage of 69.44, showcasing dominance at home with series victories over Pakistan and Sri Lanka, while drawing against India.
Their away performance was equally commendable, with wins against the West Indies and Bangladesh. The only loss occurred in New Zealand, where several key players were unavailable.
With eight wins out of 12 matches and one draw, the Proteas have secured their spot in their first-ever ICC World Test Championship Final.
