Sonia Gandhi's Recovery Progress

Sonia Gandhi, the chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party, is showing signs of improvement in her health, with doctors at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital optimistic about her discharge within one to two days. This information was confirmed by a hospital official.

Dr. Ajay Swaroop, the president of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, reported that the 79-year-old leader, who was admitted late on March 24, is experiencing a rapid recovery.

According to Swaroop, Sonia Gandhi's condition has significantly improved. She is feeling comfortable, moving around, and has even had breakfast. Overall, her health is on the mend, and the medical team is hopeful for her discharge soon. Previously, the hospital had indicated that she was receiving antibiotics for a serious infection, which have been positively affecting her condition.

The hospital had announced on Thursday that Sonia Gandhi was admitted due to fever on the night of March 24. Under the care of Dr. D.S. Rana, Dr. S. Nandi, and Dr. Arup Basu, she is being treated for a severe infection with antibiotics, which are showing good results. This is not her first hospitalization; she was admitted last June for gastrointestinal issues and had previously been hospitalized at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla earlier that month.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his concern through a Twitter post, stating he was worried to learn about the hospitalization of former AICC president and senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. He extended his best wishes for her swift recovery, expressing confidence that she would overcome this illness and regain her health soon.
